Mist Over the Lake: A New Beginning

As the morning sky blushes with pinks, purples, blues, yellows, and golds, a soft mist glides across the lake. In that quiet drift, I’m reminded that beauty still lives all around us. Yesterday has already folded itself into the past. What was heavy has loosened; what clung to me has softened in the night. ✨

Today is a new beginning.
The stories of yesterday don’t get to write this morning unless I hand them the pen. The voices that tried to pull at my peace no longer have a claim—not unless I choose to let them. With each breath, I return to myself. With each exhale, I release what isn’t mine to carry. 🕊️

I honor what was, and I let it go. 🌿

I watch the ripples on the water and learn from them: even a small shift can change the whole surface. A single choice—to speak kindly, to pause before reacting, to forgive what I can—moves through the day the way light moves across the lake. Peace isn’t something I find by accident; it’s something I choose, one gentle moment at a time. 💫

Gratitude meets me here. For color and quiet. For the chance to start again. For the strength I didn’t know I had and the tenderness I’m still learning to trust. I don’t need to carry yesterday’s battles into this sunrise. I can set them down and step forward, lighter.

So I bless this day before it begins. I bless my thoughts to be clear, my words to be true, and my actions to be aligned with who I’m becoming. I bless the people I’ll meet, the work I’ll touch, and the spaces I’ll enter. I choose to be guided by the steadiness within me rather than the noise around me. ✨

There is power in that choice. Power in noticing the colors of the sky and deciding to match them with my own light. Power in remembering that peace is not granted by circumstances but grown from within. I step into the day with that knowing: I can meet what comes with clarity, gentleness, and courage. ☀️

Affirmation:
“Today, I choose peace over the past and light over fear. I am free to begin again.” 💫
